A for Ambiente (Italian for environment): zamak die casting produces negligible emissions in air and water and recyclable production waste, and is much more energy efficient compared with alternative materials. Zinc alloys are also compliant with current regulations, in particular the ELV (End-of-Life Vehicles) standard, the ROHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) standard and the WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) standard.

B for Bassa usura delle attrezzature (Low wear of equipment): the low melting point for zamak minimises wear of the mould, enabling a guarantee of longer and more efficient life of equipment.

C for Conducibilità termica (Thermal conductivity): the efficient thermal and electrical conductivity of zamak makes it suitable for producing heat sinks, waveguides and EMI shielding.

D for Durezza ( Hardness): the hardness of zinc alloys is greater than that of aluminium and magnesium and comparable to that of brass. With higher percentages of copper, zamak has greater hardness. This is definitely an advantage when the parts are to be used in extreme conditions that demand high wear resistance.

E for Economica (Economical): zamak is economical , not only as a raw material compared with materials such as brass, but especially with regard to process costs and the economies of scale that can be achieved with high-volume production using the same equipment.

F for Finiture (Finishes): different types of high quality finish can be applied on parts in die cast zamak, from paint to superior galvanised metallic finishes (such as nickel, satin and polished chrome); all surface treatments are reliable.

G for Garanzia di affidabilità (Guarantee of reliability): of small parts made of zamak in their various applications, and of equipment in their prolonged use.

H for High-tech: significant development in the die casting industry has allowed companies operating in the sector to use high-tech machines such as electric machines and automated robots, making it possible to optimise production time, costs and energy consumption, while ensuring high quality performance.

I for Imagination: the die casting process allows engineers to imagine any geometry in the design of a product made of zamak.

L for Lavorabilità meccanica (Mechanical workability): the zinc alloy pressure die casts have good mechanical workability, with a resulting quality of finish and high productivity.

M for Metal: zamak a metal alloy composed mainly of zinc, aluminum and copper, combined in different amounts depending on the alloy to be obtained (ZP3, ZP5, ZP2, ZP8).

N for Novelty: this material has been used in industry for less than a century and its use is a new and viable substitute for the use of more "ancient" materials such as brass and aluminium.

O for Optimisation: optimisation of process times and management costs is definitely a highly competitive factor of the zamak die casting process.

P for Precision: the use of high-level equipment, together with the physical and mechanical features of the material and the possibility of carrying out secondary processing, ensuring a level of precision down to one-hundredth.

R for Resistance: at ambient temperatures, the impact resistance of zamak alloys is much greater than that of aluminium and magnesium. Zamak is stronger than aluminium even at temperatures as low as -40°C. Zamak alloys are also at least 4 times more resilient than plastics.

S for Spessore (Thickness): the elasticity of zamak makes it possible to design small parts with very reduced thicknesses and even walls of less than one millimetre.

T for Tolerance: the tolerances of die cast zamak can be very small, allowing operators to take on challenges down to the last one-hundredth.
